Prof. Dr. Shagufta Tahir is FCPS certified in pelvic floor reconstruction and urogynecology by IBC/UAE. She is also a certified endoscopic surgeon and fistula surgeon, as well as a certified medical educationist from UHS. Dr. Shagufta is the founder of PUGA (Pakistan Urogynecologist Association) and serves as its Vice President from Sindh. She is the author of more than 15 publications and has been affiliated with IUGA since 2015. She was selected as a member of the membership committee of IUGA and is also part of the IUGA task group. She has represented internationally, including as a speaker at IUGA 2020 in the USA, with her lecture recorded for FIGO 2021 virtual, and she spoke at the Gynae Summit in Sri Lanka in 2022. She is a life member of SOGP and FIGO and has organized numerous national symposia, workshops, and international conferences under the banner of PUGA.
